You know, my cleaner went after my new Xenia frags as soon as I put them in the tank. I couldn't believe it, they were picking it apart.
One frag didn't make it, but I still have two left and the shrimp are not touching it anymore, so they are doing good. It's good to hear I'm not the only one with crazy shrimp.

Sorry to here about your clown, but your tank is looking good.

My cleaner shrimp is addicted to cleaning!!! Whenever i put in my hand he starts to clean like crazy!!! One time he was cleaning my hand for 5+ min non stop! But i had to take my hand out. Cleaner shrimps are the funniest shrimp iv ever seen!

thanks for the compliments you all. yea, i believe you can keep deresa under PC, but you need to test for everything like calcium and alk. i sometimes feed my kenya, i feed it freeze dried cycolp-eeze.
i did a center brace mod since it was cutting out a lot of light, now its clear.
on a bad side, the rock the fuzzy shroom came with has aptasia, so i am going to frag the shroom and put the rock in a nano, so if i get lucky, maybe the aptasia will go away and i will have to shrooms.
center brace

Kenya tree. looks a lot bigger in person

leather, wanst to open since lights had just come on

orange mushrooms
front

side

all orange mushrooms

remember, they were only this big when i got them

and here is what lights it all.

and how it hangs

it has a blue tip cuz i forgot to buy a cap, so instead of having a hole, its a nice turkey baster holder.
PS, right now all corals are adjusting and i am in the process of light accimilating all of them and no more new additions till i finish my summer reading reports. school is about to start.

Take your rock with the aptasia on it and put it in a bowl of tank water. Boil yourself some RO water and when it's at a full boil use a syringe to suck up the water and then squirt your aptasia (you can do this while it's still underwater). You notice it will shrivel up right away. Do this a few times to be sure and then try and pull off what's left. This is what killed mine that was on the rock with my GSP. Worked like a charm and didn't hurt the GSP one bit.

BTW, nice pics!

you should probably start your own thread if you want to ask questions pertaining to your setup.
anyways, i wouldnt keep a clam in an 8 gal personally. clams require stable water conditions which are harder to maintain in a smaller system. also biocubes dont have the lighting necessary to keep clams unless you upgrade.
you dont have to feed the kenya, but the addition of phytoplankton will help a bit.
tank looks good nemo
