Never add Mysis to your coffee

You'd think I'd learned my lesson from last time when I almost drank the cup of mysis.
Well...I got up today, dragged myself into the kitchen, and started the coffee pot. With the river of life beginning to brew, I plunked myself down on the couch to see what Valiant was up too. Hunting.....serious hunting. Hmm....I got up, pulled out a coffee mug and a plastic container to thaw mysis, and set them side by side on the counter. BAD IDEA. I like sugar in my coffee, and from time to time I have gotten sugar cubes....which are the same size as mysis shrimp cubes. I proceed to get a frozen mysis cube out of the freezer, then I noticed that the coffe was done. With frozen cube in one hand I poured the coffee....hmmmmmm...oh yeah sugar....something in my foggy brain said "something is not right here!!!!" :scared:

mysis cube doesn not = sugar cube!!!!
Well, I managed to stop from adding the mysis to my coffee.....and I think from now on I'll prepare my horse's breakfast AFTER I have a cup of coffee!!!!!
Hmmmmm fish are like kids......kids+caffine= kids bouncing off the walls...... :thinking:

Heh - and I almost added flour to my coffee instead of sugar just yesterday morning. :scared:

i bought copods in a bottle the other day and they are in some sort of red liquid. i am waiting for my wife to thinks its hot sauce.

I probably would have mistaken the flour for cream and then added the sugar!!!!

haha, frozen foods and what not DO NOT touch anything i drink from, they go in plastic baggies and clip to the side of the tank with water in it...i had a bad enough time when our freezer foor opened and mysis shrimp melted and went everywhere in my freezer and in the fridge...YUCK

I use one bowl for fish food only that doesn't get washed in soap but just hot water. who elseuses a coffee cup to thaw their fish food in especially in the morning. It sounds like a stomach disaster waiting to happen. ***)

I use two small tea cups, that I never wash with soap either. They are the only two like it I have..and way too small for coffee!

Well, honestly...it's not like the mysis would HURT you.

but eeewww!
If the same fish "utensils" are used ONLY for fish stuff constantly, don't we get conditioned to that fact? I have a 1 cup measure (and several other sizes, up to about 20 gallons!) that I can't mistake for any other one in my house.

I do have fish dishes, but setting you coffee cup and mysis cube side by side is not the best policy! :happyfish

Scampi tonight..a bit of garlic and guess what? It really IS fish food! Gotta love this hobby. I'd never eat a can of Ole Roy! :scared: You don't know what's in that stuff.
