Check out this thread and read some of the links on starting a new tank. https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/264597/a-list-of-extremely-helpful-threads-for-all-hobbyists
Try to read as much as you can to get a feel for how to take care of a saltwater tank... The more you learn before diving in, the fewer casualties you will have and the less money you will waste. Saltwater can be VERY expensive... so it's best to take it slow and let the system grow with you. Don't try to start out too big or put too much in the tank too quickly. That is the most common mistake people make. They want their tank to look like someone else's tank which has been set up for years.
A tank is like a garden. It will take a while to grow and usually the more you try to mess with it, the more harm you will cause. Take your time and stock slowly. Perform proper maintenance, especially since you have a small tank. If you get lazy on your maintenance routine on a small tank then things can go bad quickly.

Thanks. I was wrong mine is a 12 gallon tank. My friends is the same size and it looks amazing. He has some live rock and a couple corals. He has a couple gobie and a maroon clown. I dont want to copy his exactly, but i love colorful fish and coral. He said he would help me as much as possible but i'm trying to get as many suggestions as possible.
