New 110 gallon tank

Hello,
I just purchased my first aquarium, which is 110 gallons. I want to know if you should cycle your tank for three weeks before you put fish in it. This is what someone told me and I just wanted to confirm with someone else.

First of all welcome to the boards. You definitely need to cycle a new tank but there's much more involved to be successful in this hobby. You'll get alot of help from very knowledgable people if you post this in the new hobbiest forum.

its a lot longer than three weeks its like 2 months to cycle it

Ok there is no set time for your tank to cycle. It could cycle in a week, you never know. Buy the book called "THe Conscientious Marine aquarist" by Robert Fenner. Read the whole thing, and then see what questions you have.

there is a product called bio-spira made by marineland labs that will cycle your tank almost overnight........ it is pretty expensive but it works.
