A few pictures. I had some live rock left from when I broke down my old tank, then I bought 1 new peice to try to kick start the rest of it. Tank is only a week old, so the pictures are kind of boring with not much going on - unless you're a fan of diatom algae then some of these pictures are just what you're looking for.

Just added a Maxi Jet 900 and the Hydor Flo Deflector - this greatly increased the flow.
I'm not sure what the tank comes with, but it wasn't getting the job done.

Week 3 of the most boring tank in North America -not really much has changed over the past week. Between work and the kids, it has forced me to go extremely slow.
Added a few Nassarius snails - which are of course hidden at the moment, and a couple of Trochus snails. I guess the only thing that has changed is whatever kind of algae that is - just keeps growing and growing...

nice looking setup. Be careful of that algae growing, it may look good now but that stuff will take over.

It is calurpa grass. It doesn't hurt and actually removes nitrates from the water, but as stated above can take over. If you want it removed simple pluck it as you can.

If I build a fuge in the back chamber and pluck it from the rock that its on, will it reattach to the live rock back there?

wow, i WAS going to suggest some turbo snails. They work like a lawn mower on hair algae, but that looks like actual ferns growing in a jungle!! I think you need a lawn mower.
The maxijet 900 works awesome! I also got the wave maker nozzel and I haven't had a problem with algae since.
