New 150 gallon - Lighting question

If you're just looking to do a fish only tank the lighting doesnt matter at all. If you think you are going to want to keep corals down the road you may as well get lights now that can accommodate them so that you dont have to just buy another fixture later on. Either T5's with individual reflectors or Metal Halides will let you keep whatever you want. You'll spend more up front this way but you wont be wasting money on a fixture that you're just going to make obsolete later on down the road.

VHO is on the way out as far as lighting technology goes. You definitely want to go with either T5 or MH

Were is the door then?
If you are doing fish only the pc's will work just fine.

i agree wiht this too, dont do what i did, i started out with fish only and then got into corals instead. if you have the slightest thought of getting coral then most likely you will convert over, just my opinion. anyways i bought some pc and then had to junk them and get halides. The halides are expensive but they are worth every penny. I would never go to anything else besides halides.
