I think I will just grow some of my frags from other tanks and drop a hermit of two in there.... :joy:
i think that is the right thing
if movement is what you are looking for try some xenia or capnella

try a yellow tang, or a blue hippo or BOTH, they would make a great pair in there

no but seriously i'd try 1-2 small neons and a shrimp, 1-2 snails, 2 hermits. At 2.5 gallons minus rock/sand displacement that woud be fully stocked IMO

I don't think that my hippo tang would like being moved from the 90 to the 2.5

Another option might be to research brackish fish to see if any of proper size could be salt acclimated. I know mollies can, but they get larger than your nano would support.
I know there are dwarf puffers that are very tiny, but I don't know about acclimating them to salt. And you could only keep one, they are nippers!

I wouldn't try it. My 2.5 been set up almost a year now and taken apart and cleaned three times now. Once it gets a problem, it's hard to fix without totally ripping the little tank apart. First time was because I had a cleaner wrasse given to me and put it in the nano so I could feed it without problems. Three weeks later, tank is covered in hair algea. No more fish in there for me.

I don't know much about them, but I have seen them in pretty small tanks. What about Dwarf Seahorses (Hippocampus zosterae)?

i think tizzo is refering to the pixies which would fit
IMO, those are the one fish that woujld fit in there, but they would be very difficult to maintain and have the proper parameters to handle seahorses.

I got a peppermint shrimp today.
So here's the low down:
about 3 cups of live sand
6 lbs live rock.
small frag of xenia
Mushrooms about 12 on the rock
feather duster
zoa rock with about 45 polyps
2 hermits
and a Peppermint shrimp.
I think I am going to stay aways from fish in this little guy. I still got to get up my 90 gallon that is sitting empty in the living room.....what a sad looking site it is, all set up and nothing in it.

do you have a 90 gall as well?
use the 2.5 for corals that you want in your 90 so you can switch them every so often and when the multiply you can pcik them off you 2.5 and into the big tank cus im sure you will be looking to fill er up with corals if you havebt alreadys. :jumping:
