New 2 Reef Tanks

I am new to reef tanks and was just wondering if someone could give me a list of everything and i mean everything i need to have a successful reef. The tank will be 55g

55g DT
20-30g sump (if not HOT skimmer)
Return pump (sump)
Protein Skimmer (sump)
RO/DI unit
Refractometer
Heaters for QT, DT/sump
Powerheads for QT, DT/sump
Good lighting
75-100lbs LR

What about stuff like a wavemaker, ozone and uv sterilizer do I need that stuff as well

No that stuff is not neccesary. neither is an RO unit at first, but all of those things are very handy to have later. just the the tank. lighting, sump, skimmer, heaters, pumps, and LR and LS, we'll go from there once your cycle is complete

You can just buy R/O water for a while if you don't wanna buy a unit right away.....

Buy the r/o unit and save your shelf the headaches. Starting out right helps in the long run. Do lots of research on your own will help you make better decissions.
