1) Why would you add a calc. buffer during the cycle? 2) You should not have purchased any fish until your cycle was complete! Especially with low SG. Take him back if you can and deal with the matter of cycling your tank and fixing the SG issue.
Sallen, I think those rocks are probably resting against the back. If you have powerheads to keep your waterflow good (with no dead spots) it is not a problem.

hey i have to say beautiful tank but how did you put in a blue hippos tang? that is a little big for a 20 isnt it i have a 30 gal with some fish and i was told a bluw hippo tang is too big for mine.. if its not im gonna buy one of those in the future.!!! also i was thinking about buyinhga longnose hawkfish.. good decision by the way .. sorry cant remember the person how started this threa but i think longnose hawkfish are awesome!!! if your tank become established i dont no if its possibel but put in a flame angle.. absolutly an awesome beautiful fish

oman i made the same mistake... well some fish can and some fish cant make it through the cycle im nit sure about him butttt some ppl will taell youto never do what you did and some will but it is all based on own experiences... i know pl who cycle with a clown and damsels. nice fish by the way! dont create a bio load
