new 20 gallon

hey all, i just got a new 20 gal setup in my bedroom, I have a 180 reef so I know the basics. But I don't know much about nano's. I posted in the nano thread but nobody answered. I have a HOT magnum, maxijet 600, and a cheap little walmart filter currently running on it to clear up the sandstorm. my question is do I need a small skimmer or just regular water changes on a small reef? It came with an outer orbit (current usa) 130 watt power compact, so I know I got the lighting covered. just wondering about the skimmer part.
I was thinking of one of those nano fission skimmers. Are they any good or not?
thanks

I havent heard of that skimmer but all tanks benifit from a skimmer as you probably already know. I have had tanks run skimmerless for some and saw a difference in the way the water looked but the corals all did great. just have to keep up on water changes and monitor the water quality close in a nano tank and you can get away with not skimming but its better to have one as a backup just in case you need to pull something out quickly.
