Ive got a bunch of what looks to be some kind of red algea, its on most of the lr and spread to the sand today. Is this normal? or should i be worried?

When should i expect my cycle to start. The tanks been up for two weeks and still no nitrites or nitrates. I even have a bit of an algea problem going on. Is there anything i should do about it?

Anyone? Im away from home for a few days, and my mom said its gotten worse. Should i be worried at all? or is this normal?

it's pretty normal. it will eventually take care of it self, but you might help it with a water change. I know someone else will say not to change water during a cycle, but it really doesn't hurt the cycle at all.
