new 28 gallon tank

today i bought
-28g tank w stand $250
-15lb of sand $30
-22lb of LR $6/lb (cured)
-water $2/gal (from LFS) :thinking:

what else do i need ?? ill post pics asap. open to any suggestions.

Alot of it depends on what you want your tank to be in the future, and what you want to be able to keep.
heater
lights
test kits
refractometer
skimmer (?)
refugium/sump (?)
pumps/powerheads
thermometer
the ones with question marks are optional depending on what your final setup will be.

what was listed above is a good list .. make sure you get a good skimmer though
the 28 gal with the standd.. wow i i payed a175 fr a 29 with a stand. and tht was a little hihg.
your live rock deal was good only 6 $/ LB i pay almost 10 per/lb so i guess tht makes up al ittle.
for water i pay 1$ per gallon for R/O water.. sometimes i get it for free

well i can wait to see pics.

heres some pix of my new tank. im thinking of putting
-clowns prolly 2
-firefirsh
-goby
-ofcourse clean up crew
-a shrimp
- if i can maybe some corals
-also thinking of adding more LR maybe 5-10lbs more
any ideas im open lemme know

Sounds like a good start...Was a good test kit on that list of yours?also put on that list time,patience,and money...

I seen those at my LFS. I think they are Jebo tank. Nice looking tanks and the corners are round but made of glass. And thick glass. Good deal. They are really expensive but the the equipment is built in.
