is that salt all over the sides? clean the tank. I would paint the back or put a black blackround. Id set up a sump systen with a Hang on back overflow. Personally Id take out the middle fake or dead coral and replace it with more rock. You have hardly any type of mechanical or biological filtration for a fish only tank.
Fish list. Dwarf fuzzy Lion are great fish.

Its not what I like. Its what you like. I was just giving suggestions like you asked. Id try and scrape that dead algae off the glass. No offense but it looks really bad. My eyes automatically look at that first. The white dead coral inthe middle will turn brown and green and be a real eye sore in a few months. Unless coraline gorws on it Id take it out as well. Looks good now. Not so much later on.
I'd get a Flame angel. Six line Wrasse or Fairy Wrasse of some sort. Then go from there. Add the flame angel last though

thank ya for the input. if the dead coral starts lookin bad it will be coming out trust me. ive been putting coralline scraping on it so hopefully it will start growing on it eventually. I got a hang on back wet dry system with the built in skimmer and refugium.

I would put a black backround on the tank. It makes it look more natural.

Its looks so much better. The algae will grow back. I like the dead coral. It just gets ugly as time goes
Sadly he is right. That will not be white for long. It does look nice though. They always do lol. I had a bunch in my first tank and didnt think about how hard they are to heep white. LOL almost impossible.

Pipefish and seahorses have special needs....unless you are going to devote the tank to them, you will need to return that. If it lived in the river it is probably brackish to freshwater anyway and the sg is too high in a slatwater tank for it.

thank you for that input. unfortunateley i took all these fish, including the tang, from a friend because he had them sitting in 5 gallon buckets after taking his tank apart and such with no filtration, so I adopted them. and the brackish river they came from is pretty salty but i acclimated them and they are doing good. its either my tank or die so i figured id give them a chance.

My husband and I started this hobby with a 4ft long 55 and our B&W Perc Clown fish quickly became our favorite. We also had a Coral Beauty Dwarf Angel, a Midas Blenny, as well as some Chromis. They (and others) are all now in the 8ft long 225. Leaving the 55 with one resident. A Ribbon Eel.
