new 55 setup ?

i have a 55G tank and for now, im not going to get a sump or fuge.. its an accessory not a neccessity. plus they have those HOB fuges, if i ever need one..

Panther, please read the entire thread at the link above. Neither are accessories and by reading the post you should be able to make a decision.

mujtba, they are not an accessory. Earings are an accessory. I've heard of people who've had sucessful tanks without doing any water changes. That doesn't make water changes and accessory. I'm not going to waste my time listing the benefits of them. In a couple months as your tank gets more mature, then I'll talk to you again on this subject.

Personally, I'd get one or the other. You'll just be waiting for the problems to arrive otherwise. You put so much time and effort into your setup, why risk it?

on a 55g no need.......if it is mostly softies.....goin into sps you should have a sump and if you want a refugium........i find very little benifit to a fuge inless it is 4 times you systems size
