New 90 Reef

I currently have a 55 FOWLR (I used to have several pieces of coral until I went on vacation in June

) , I have an opportunity to buy a 90 gal reef that is currently running for a very good price. My question is about fish for a 90. Is 90 big enough for most fish. When I fist got into this hobby, I thought my 55 was pretty big, but as I researched, I found out that a lot of the fish that I wanted are not compatible with a 55, so I don't want to make the same mistake.

i have a 90g..u have more of a selection when it comes to larger fish but still have lots of limitations..not cuz of the water volume..but because of the dimensions..its a 48" tank which is almost like a 75g..u'll have better selection going with a 100g long. or 125g long..with these tanks u can keep better looking tangs and more agreesive fishes like triggers..if ur doing reef. a 90g is good cuz most reef fishes are small anyway.. reef safe fish that needs large tanks are tangs ...

Lets see, I started with a 55, went to a 150 and now have a 210. I LOVE MY 210. If I were you I would buy the biggest tank you can afford and have room for.
Course my 150 sprang a leak and that is why I now have the 210. It was a blessing, I now have the 210 sitting where the 55 was. So it is the center of attention.
Also I have found the bigger the tank the less problems.

ups but a big tank like a 125 will empty ur wallet if ur going full out i have a 125 which was going to be a reef but then I saw how much it would cost me
-lighting with metal halides $1400
- with out metal halides $700
-chiller(if you got the halides) $1000
-a/c system you can get one $300-400
of these rathe than a chiller
-power heads $150
-skimmer $200
-fitration $300
-tank & stand $800
-other expences $500

this is what covinced me to make my 125 a fowler
but it would have bin a awsome reef tank but remember ther are cheaper way to make it a reef ask around and you'll find cheaper ways to make it a reef
