Thankyou waterfall, I will be taken them back tomorrow morning before work. I talked to the lfs and they said no problem. They told me that this type of wrasse was reef safe? I only have some mushrooms and a leather right now. In a couple of months I will be adding a new 125 which I will be moving him and my threadfin in and making this a fish only tank with butterfly's and and a koran.

cimpow, Norfolk (pets and things) they are open 10am to 8pm. The best live rock is in VA Bch (Animal Jungle) 10 to 9pm and in VA bch (Fish Safari). They all get my buisness along with SFW.com. Pets and things is about 35 from Grafton as long as there is no tunnel traffic (lol). Sorry there is always tunnel traffic. Every store recieved a shippment on Monday and Fish Safari recieved a double shippment.

The filefishI have no first hand experience with but most information indicates they are not a hardy aquarium species. Not to mention they tend to like certain corals as a primary food source!
The wrasse is another story...my wife bought me one exactly like the one you posted a pic of(I never figured out if it was a red coris or a formosa) but as it matured it became extremely non reef friendly. I eventually had to trap and remove it. They will disturb the sand bed...destroy micro infauna populations...grow quite large and can be a bit aggressive. Not a wise addition to a reef in my opinion.

I had bought a Formosa based on lfs info. Found out they grow to between 12" and 18". They eat hermit and flip rocks and corals over looking for food. I used a soda bottle trap with some mysis shrimp in it as bait. It took about an hour but it worked like a charm.

I used a 1L poland spring bottle. I peeled off the labels and used a rubberband and a small piece of rubble to weight the bottle so it would stay at the bottom. I placed the bottle off to the side of the tank so it would be out of the general travel areas. Maybe I just got lucky. Hope this helps

Carole,
I caught 4 damsels with this bottle. I put flake in it and waited till they went in. Had to cut the mouth of the bottle out more so they would go in. The original mouth was too small.
