Hey bigdog. I'm one of the few people that believe you can pull off a tank with more than 3 fish. I don't know your experience though and that is a major contributer to being able to keep fish alive and healthy in crowded conditions. I have 2 skimmers on my 125 fish only tank, an oversized sump, UV filter, canister filter, carbon, and about twice the liverock you've got.
Here is my fishlist:
Emp angel
Foxface
Marine Beta
Powder blue
Blue tang
Porcupine Puffer
Flame Angel
Lemonpeel Angel
Coral Beauty Angel
All I'm saying is it can be done if you have the right set up and do regular water changes. I'm sure many people will flame my post, but my tank has been running pristinely for a long time. Though I've had to rearrange tankmates at times when a problem came up. Rules pertaining to fish can be bent or broken, so don't get discouraged. I honestly think your tankmates can work out for you with a few exceptions. That naso tang once it gets bigger will need more room and boxfish are a dangerous fish to keep. If you have really optimal filtration, water movement (very important) and keep up with the maintenance you can pull it off.

as i said i bought this tank used and have taken out some fish and added some....the butterflys were in there and they eay pretty much anything, freezedried shrimp, anything....i do feed them very well, i feed all forozen....formual 1 and 2 and also spurlina formula and angel formula and mysis and brine....everything eats all of it....my golden is great!!! also my cowfish is a champ!!! he was COVERED!!!! BAD!!!! in ich about a lil more then a month ago...did a freshwater dip...he was almost completly white and didn't eat for almost a week then came back and got all of his color back....he is the FIGHTER in my tank!!! haha....if my naso is about 6" right now do you think he is to big? i have a 40 gal sump an 8" skimmer uv set. 5 gal refiguim bioball which need a deep cleaning prefilter and a filter over the bioballs, i do a 20% water change every 2 weeks i think that answer most questions....

The boxfish is dangerous because of the toxins it can release. It's small now, but when it's a foot long and decides to freak out, you could loose all your fish easily. I'd say the naso would have to be a foot or so in length before you have to worry. Sounds like you've got good filtration. Carbon helps with keeping nitrates down. What I did for both my tanks is started out with nothing but baserock and sand (even my reef) then filled them with all the fish I wanted over time. At that point I did hypo for about 8 weeks on the whole tank. I've never had an ich problem since. Even the powder blue tang and blue hippo tang are ichless.
I don't know much about regal angels though. I've read they are an expert only fish. hope you have good luck with it.

I think the Naso is already too big for the tank. They are very active fish, and need lots of room. Pacing back and forth, which I assume it does, is not their normal behavior. They do this when they are stressed.
The problem is that you have way too many fish in there. Boalgf is right, sometimes the rules can be broken, but unless you're an expert, you should stick to them.
If the tank were devoted to the Naso alone, you may be alright for a while, but you are honestly looking for trouble with your stock.
Google your cowfish and look at one that is full grown.
I doubt that you will, but I would start looking for a new home for the Naso along with probably 3 or 4 others.

ok, i'm not a fish idiot i've spent i can't tell you how many hours researching.....i know how big a boxfish can get, but i also know they grow very slow in 2 years maybe 5" or 6" also the Naso NEVER paces....he just kicks back and looks for food, i mean he swims back and forth every know and then but isn't spending the majority of the time pacing....as far as the regal i have no idea whats going to happen with him, he eats a little and always seems to be to be looking at the food but just dosen't it as much as he should, hopefully he warms up a little....howver in the past day my HT is acting wierd at first he was swiming al around....then last night he found a cave and i just came home and he dosne't look like he has moved...(yes he is still breathing) now i'm not saying i'm right, i may have to get rid of something soon here, but before i get rid of anything i'm going to see how 3 new fish do before i get rid of tried and true ya know....btw my tank is 60X20X24

No. Not true. It all depends. I had a 7 inch blue angel, a 5 inch french angel and a 3 inch Koran in a 125. They were fine together.

I wouldn't know I sold them with the tank 2 years ago. The french died of ick about 6 months before I sold the tank. I was so sad. He was my favorite in the tank.

I have a small 3 inch regal that I got back in December, it ate from day one. It eats frozen angelfish preparations with sponge and loves anything meaty especially Mysis shrimp, PISCINE Energetics brand. I too have multiple angels that are all fairly young. I have a flagfin, majestic, regal and a flame in the same 75g tank. This is not my permanent plan though. They all get along.

Hope you've got that next tank up and cycling right now, for the sake of those poor fish.
And that next tank better be a 300 gallon.
good luck
