Hopefully one day I'll get to see an egg from her. I also have a 2 ft. female horn. I guess now it's time to start looking for a male.

I want to make sure she's eating well so she's not in the pond yet. She's in a custom 200 that was made with a large footprint for sharks and/or rays

That is really cool. She is very pretty. I do have a question though. We are new to this hobby and I was curious what you mean by pond? Like the normal outside pond in your yard? Or is this something different? Can I see pictures?

FishyMama - AC's pond is a custom built wooden pond I believe in his basement. Its very hard to keep a large Saltwater pond up and running out side, so most Saltwater ponds expecially with sharks majorable are inside or in a greenhouse type enclouser. AC posted pictures of his pond in another thread so maby he can post them again for you to see.
Also AC if you could email me at brenden.hewko@sac.on.ca I have a few questions for you this forum will not let us discuss openly.

Fishymama,
My pond is in my basement. It's 10 feet long by 5 wide and about 30 inches deep. Here's a picture. You'll have to excuse the color, my wife got involved

When are you adding it? I'd love to see pics of it in the pond! Also a question I always wondered: How do you move a shark that it big? A net? Just a question I always wondered.

Rich, sorry to always steal your threads. But I know your away on business so I will tackle this one for you.
Mike22cha - Using nets with Sharks is a very bad idea, it stress them out alot more than needed, and I have never been a fan. For the most part sharks are transported via hands, there is a special way to handle sharks to ensure they are not hurt. But to keep it simple and easy, you place one hand below the main part of the body holding the pectoral fins closed against the body, and the other hand is just supporting the beggining of the tail.

Ok thanks. I was just wondering. I always dream of once owning a shark so that's as close as I'll get to owning one for a while.

Couldn't of said it better. I'll work on getting the information you asked for today. As for when I'm adding her to the pond, it will probably be a while. She's only about a foot long and the horn that's in the pond is 2 feet long. I want to make sure she gets her dinner with out to much competition. Her tank mate right now is a female bamboo that is about the same size. Thanks

Nothing new. I want the baby to get bigger before she goes in. I do have a 2 foot epaulette that may go in soon.
