New Blue Face Angel got the shimmy shimmy shake

I'm really getting fed up with the quality of fish at my LFS. Just now I'm standing in front of my tank getting ready to feed. My Majestic Angel, which I bought 3 days ago, is swimming around, going to the corner where they all go when they expect food, and suddenly, right before my eyes, this large white spot, not raised, looks kind of like leprosy, appears on his head. He stops swimming, and when I put the food in, he didn't eat. Just yesterday he was ravenous. Another case of cyanide caught, maybe? A lot of the fish I've bought there have shown such signs. Fully colored out and eating like pigs when bought, dead a week or so later.

Well, this Majestic is just weird. Right after my last post the white blotch disappeared and he started swimming around the tank normally. He ate, although not voraciously, but then again, I never see any fish eat voraciously like they did in the 70's, except for my Naso Tang, he's nuts.

Anyway, I shot some nice footage and it's taken all day to edit and render. I'll put it up as soon as it's done uploading to Youtube. At 9+ minutes it's the longest I've done so far. Of course the Blue Face, who was swimming great all day, decided to disappear during the entire shoot. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. Sometime tomorrow morning probably.

He's back to being a putz. In fact, out of nowhere, the entire tank is acting lethargic and didn't eat this morning, except for the blue jaw trigger, the only one that actually looked like he was on his last legs. Three days of aggravation for every one day of pleasure, this freakin' hobby.

Here's a new video I shot yesterday. Have a look at the blue face. He's eating voraciously and feeling good. Do you think he will heal properly and lose all that "cauliflower" fungus on his own or does he need medication? Please note that weird depression in his dorsal fin near his head is actually a birth defect. He came with that, it's not Queen inflicted damage.

So pretty!! I can't wait till I can get a blue hippo! Very pretty! What's the trick to getting a trigger along with clowns and chromis without eating them?

No trick at all. That's a blue jaw trigger (only the males actually have a blue jaw), one of the most docile of trigger fish. Niger triggers are also cool but very shy for the first month or so.
