After about 3 mths of hounding the LF, I have found another replacement male blue throat. I had put in a pair ( Male , Female ), a few mths ago but the male never did adjust and it died in 4 days.
I was very hesitant on how this one would adapt at first..especially with the female having been in the tank for 3 mths as well as a bossy Sohal Tang.
After the acclimation I put him in, lights off for a day. Next day, lights on it was out swimming like it owned the tank. It was even eating.
It has been about 5 days and it cruises around in the open 24/7 with the occasional chase by the Sohal ( Sohal chases anything )
Very impressed...could it be that this one was already in a tank before? Not direct from the wild? It wasnt in the LFS very long, but I forgot to ask where they got it.
I will post pictures of the pair of them soon.
