New Bubble Tip Anemone!!!!

i final got my first coral today at about 7:00-7:30 PM. it looks great and green. it also has all of its bubbles
i got my lights 2 or 3 days ago. they are 2x65watt pc. yea, i know, pc for an anemone!
dont flame me. the LFS only had one PC blub over it. I'll try to get pictures by tomorrow. your comments are welcome-good or bad.

Well you asked for comments, and they are not good lol. Just because it has its bubbles, doesn't mean its healthy, actually a healthy bubbles usually loses its bubble tips. Your lfs didn't help it by putting it under 1 bulb, but that was just temperary. Putting it under 2 bulbs prpbably won't work long term either. Here are pics of my anenome. First one was how it looked when I got it, it had been under weak T5 lighting at my lfs, 2nd is how it looks now under T5 and MH.


Put yours as close to the top as you can, I hope it makes it

it is just the picture. it looks nice and green. i am not such a good photgropher(sp). it looks alot more healthy today then yesterday. lets just hope he keeps it up. in my LFS they have display tanks with PC over them and they have one and a half foot bubble tip anemone. lets just pray.

then if thats true, why do they inflate? i had heard somewhere that they deflate because of stress.

They sometimes roll inside out or go limp for no reason, mine does that when its been fed. I am not an anenome expert, but i have read so many times that the bta usually lose thie bubbles when they are content, maybe someone else can give us more info on that.

it is starting to look better and better by the minute.it looks so good i want to eat it
(J/K) i will post some pictures in a few. and also maybe a full tank shot. thanks for the help, i guess.

idk bta are weird....i think my lighting was too bright for it cause it would always move into the shade where there was less light... i hvae 2x 150w mh's

i agree, sorta. i placed him on one rock and he moves. then one day later he moves back to his original spot. i like him though. cant wait till i get some clownfish in a month or two.
