New Button Polyps Mostly Closed

Hello everyone,
We picked up a tiny handful of green button polyps from our local fish store. They were about 10 dollars for the cluster if that gives you any indication. We have had them since Tuesday (so about 2 days now) and they have only opened up about 50%. 1 or 2 of them has opened fully but the majority are still tightly closed. Are we doing something wrong? or is it pretty common for them to take their time.
Thanks!

Yes you are fine. give them a week and if they are still closed then you can start to worry.
You might want to test your water anyway and do a small water change if needed.. most corals/coralimorphs are very demanding of clean water.

How does your lighting compare to the light they came from. They could be simply adjusting to new light. My last ones took a week to fully open.

Be patient with them. I had some that were glued to a rock and they took over a month to open up from that point. I was about to give up on them but they were firm not mushy but just not opening and now they are open great and multiplying like crazy.
One of my favorite corals next to rics........

Yep. Some polyps just take time to open. I've had some that opened in the bag they were shipped in, and others would take up to a month to adjust.
