I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!!!!
Before I could tell just by looking at your pic's that you had an awesome tank. But now not only do you have a great tank now you have a nice camera that matches your aquarium!!

Seriously though, awesome pictures, most times when I see that amount of xenia (I think that's it isn't it?) I think it looks overgrown, but yours looks very nice, and not out of control. Do you do anything to keep it that way?
Thanks again for some awesome pictures!!!

Yeah, mine was that big too. Mine split about 5 months after I got it. It grew at least 6 inches in that time. I fed it krill. How long have you had him? He's really beautiful.

I do feed it, well my clows actually do it. I drop 2 large thawed silversides and the female will drag it in. What you are talking about is normal. Mine does the same. I am hoping it will split soon.

bkvreef. Thanks for the compliments and the hate mail.
I have the pom pom xenia(pulsing xenia) and this stuff grows like wild in my tank. I started with one little stalk and now I can not harvest it fast enough.
I maintain a strict schedule on water changes/adding carbon for 3 days out of the month/maintain strict CA & Iodine levels/Same salt/same RO water/keep and eye on all the other levels.
The picture below shows what I started with on 05/07/06.

Hey fishy7, I have the Canon SD900. I just can't seem to get as good of pictures as those. I can get some good focus, but the colors are allways off. What settings are you using?

Hey grouper. I am not sure what the difference is between the 2 camera but.... here it goes. This is the settings the camera saved when it snapped the pic. I did find the best time to snap pics is when the actincs are on and not the MH. The MH was to bright for the camera and threw the colors off.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. That'll get me started anyway. I have allready taken about 1000 pics with all types of settings. It's just going to take some more playing. Are you using flash? It looks really bright for just actinics.

I have found reading the manual from cover to cover and using the settings they suggest works pretty good.
I am using the flash for actinics but not when the MH are on.
