New car!

All the old engines were like that though, the man could work on it in his garage. My dad has a '68 Z-28 and a '68 Corvette and the space in the engine compartment is just crazy. I think it all went away with the transistion to fwd. To fit the trannies under, but that doesn't explain the mustangs and such that are rwd. It's a conspiracy. Seriously though, I have a 2.2L Ecotech in my saturn and that thing has got to be the easiest oil change in the world. There is also a lot of engine space, but that's in big part due to the engine being in the battery. And nope never tired to swap cams on a 4.6 or anything, I just admire those cars. I like my 4 bangers.... lol. It is amazing though the hp they get out of the small displacement engines compared to the hp they got out of big blocks and such int he old days.

Technology, my friend, technology. Try telling a tech in '68 that by now cars have no distributors, push rods or rocker arms and they are electric, run on hydrogen or solar power- they would lock you up!!!

hahaha... I hear ya. If you really want to start an argument try telling them fuel injection would get them more power than their carb. Gone are the days of tuning buy sitting in the driveway revving the engine and listening. HECK, i'm 20 and I wouldn't evenknow how to begin to do that.

It's amazing how far cars have come. I remember taking my old 73 firebird and having the engine and transmission sitting on the ground in about 30 minutes. I don't even open the hood on my Corvette. There is not a whole lot I can do under there anyway.

:cheer: Pretty oh sorry Awesome pony gassguzzler! It is pretty though. Is it a stick or an automatic? I like sticks more for the fun, but in traffic it does suck, as you feel like your pedeling a bicycle home. Anyways, sweet car... ali
