I was just flipping thru the new issue of car and driver .
There are a few I am just not impressed with . The 2010 ford mustang just doesn't do much for me at all . Nothing really to update on it and its just kinda blaaaaa . A 400 horse power version is going to be offered in 2011 it claims .
Then there is the Nissan 370 Z . They say it will be shorter and wider. But that it might back up that 330 hp v6 with the 7 speed gearbox out of the GT-R .
Now the 2010 Nissan GT-R thats going to be a nice ride to have .With 480 Hp and a 7 speed can you say hang on to your shorts in japanese ? But in all honesty with a price tag above 90,000 its not like everybody will have one .
The Pontiac G8 GXP looks to be a nice mid price monster . A 402 hp Corvette 6.2 liter backed up by a 6 speed manual turning out 0-60 in 4.7. A nice sleeper here .
Than there is my favorite of the line up . The 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT convertible . Nothing really new here except its top is coming off . I just like the classic look of this thing .

The days of the affordable performance car are done. With gas above 3 bucks a gallon they wont be able to sell enough to make it worth it. It's all going to be the high end stuff or econo boxes. If the mileage standards get bumped up a lot of the high end stuff might not even see production. They are talking about including trucks and vans in the new standards. If it comes down to toys verses trucks the toys will lose out.

No love for the '09 CTS-V? (probably not in that issue though) Should be a world beater this time. 550 supercharged ponies, what will be a big aftermarket, and only (lol) $60k. Run circles around the boy-toy M5's....
