new cleaner shrimp HELP

i got a cleaner shrimp for my 12g today. he's perched on my yellow polyps eating a blue-legged hermit... i'm trying to count the empty shells on the sand bed and there is an extra one. did he really eat one of my hermits? or is he just eating a molt. if the former, i had no idea that they werent safe around eachother.

its more likely the hermits going after the other hermits rather than the cleaner shrimp attacking them

I don't think cleaner shrimps eat hermit crabs.

I have 50 hermits, 2 cleaners, 1 fire and 2 pepps and I have never seen them touch a hermit, not even molts.

well yesterday morning i had 6 blue legged hermits in my 12g. this morning i have 5, and another empty shell on the floor. my guess is that when he was molting the shrimp got him. i seriously doubt he pulled him out of the shell. lol i hope he doesnt touch my snails

Odds are one hermit killed another, and the cleaner was just cleaning up the mess.

ive seen my cleaner go for my hermits when they leave the shell after molting. It happens...
