Hello,
After about 1 and a half months of cycling I decided to add my first fish yesterday. 28 gallon, 32 pounds of LR, Sand, 2 maxi powerheads. My levels where Amm-o Nitrate-0 Nitrite-0 Ph-8.4. Salinity 1.026 Temp 82. I added 2 percula clowns. Drip acclimated them for about 2 hours in the dark. Released them one immediatley went and hid (wedged) under a rock, and the other went to the bottom corner and swam up and down almost gasping. Today I woke up and they where out and swimming about. One of them however has a little indentation on its top right underneath its top fin. It is extremely small and looks almost translucent, like one of its scales was disturbed, it doesnt look white or really raised at all. I also notice it seems to be breathing a little, very little bit more than the other clown. Once I saw him scratch himself on a rock twice. However after watching him for about 2 hours he hasnt scratched again. The spot doesnt look like, Broklynella, Itch, or Lymphocytis. Could he just have hurt his skin when he wedged himself? Maybe he is still a bit stressed. Also I have no qt set up..(I know not a smart thing, I didnt set one up for many reasons so please dont flame me) The only thing in the tank are the two clowns 2 cleaners and 3 turbo snails. I have only feed them once, Brine and Flake food the lfs use. Today im buying some fresh garlic to add. Any thoughts or suggestions? I forgot to add it ate fine when I fed it.
