New Clowns!

I am so excited!

I finally added 2 percula clowns to my tank yesterday. I have
29 gal, 18#LR, LS, CPR Bak Pak, PowerSweeper and empty HOB running for circulation.
The clowns have been swimming, what I would describe as "frantically" back and forth across the front of the tank since I put them in. Do you think this has to do with the flow? The only other fish is a Yellow-tail damsel. He did nip at them at first, but is now ignoring them. What do you think? I had a single clown in a previous tank and it swam slowly, in that unique clown way. :notsure:

it depends on the flow rate of the powersweeper, but even if they do swim back and forth as long as they eat really readily you really have nothing to worry about. also that they look healthy as well.

Haha ive had mine clowns for about 2 months and they still do that everytime someone enters the room they are real show offs. I would think it is normal because Clowns are really clowns, mine female fore example sleeps sideways under a rock at night.

Thanks for the input. I did change the direction of one powerhead and now that it has been several days, the clowns are swimming all around the tank and are fine. They seem very interested in the PHs! They are also getting along well withe the Yellow-tail damsel now.

my yellow tail damsel is the bully!! I have 2 other breeds of damsel and 3 clowns, Bully will pick on the others. I get #%$^# at him and I hope this is not fish abuse, but I lightly to moderately squeeze my turkey baster with water at him to detour him from nipping at others!!!

Mine does too.
