I know I totally lucked out. I have no idea where they got it from but it came out of the owners nano cube. It had been in the nano cube for over a year, and now they are "remodeling" the cube, and I was lucky enough to be in the store when they were removing that rock. at first they diden't know if they even wanted to sell it. The owner and the 2 guys that work there are pretty stingy with all of the rare stuff you really have to get to know them to start getting the sweet peices.

It is a candy cane they probably had one sitting there and that is a polyp. They do grow well and are very hardy. That was a sweet find! They look real cool under night bulbs! Carrie

Update:
I was just feeding my tank and saw it eat. feeder tentacles came out from the "inner ring" (if you look back at the pics you'll se what I mean by "inner ring") and move the food tward the mouth in the center . the tentacles were short and came out all the way around the ring, probably a couple hundred short tentacles about 1/8 inch, clear w/ white tips
