corals do not have feet, so they won't move around. When you go to your local fish store, most of the corals will come on rocks already. In my experience, you only need to temp acclimate a coral. Put the bag in your aquarium with the lights off for about 15 to 30 minutes. Then, you should take the bag out, take the coral out of the bag and place it in your tank. Do NOT add water from the bag to your aquarium.
Good luck and happy reefing.
btw, what are your water parameters and lighting?

t5 lighting on a 26 gallon aquarium, temp is about 78, ph 8.0, nitrites 0, nitrates 20, ammonia 0 and salt is at 1.022

Specific gravity needs to be raised to 1.025-1.026, also 20 nitrates is a little more than what should be in a reef tank. I would get that sorted out first. What is your calcium, alkalinity and magnesium at? As for your t-5 lighting, what fixture is it, how many bulbs, watts, etc?
