There are pods (the small shrimp-like critters) and spirorbid worms (the small spirals) in your photos. Check out the hitch-hiker ID post in the beginner's forum if you want to know more about then.

Also, I probably would not go putting pennies into your aquarium. Pennies are made out of copper and I am not totally sure if they can leach the copper into the tank or not, but in the rare case that it does, you are not in good shape. Pre-1982 pennies are made out of 95% copper, whereas post-1982 pennies are only 3% copper.

I know, I noticed it was a 93, but nonetheless, I would rather be safe than sorry.
I only know that because when I worked at a LFS, a kid threw some pennies into one of our sumps (the invert sump :scared:) and I was the lucky one who had to fish them all out. After the event, I went and looked up the facts just to know if someone asked.
