650 does sound like you guys are getting ripped off you can find it on ---- for 400. Like i said i got mine at the LFS for 450

650 and 700 isnt really a rip off when u compare the red sea max 34g which is like 799 at many LFS. and that doesnt come with a HQI lighting system. atleast with the solana you can get an HQI set up for the same price as what you would pay for the Red sea max

BINGO! thats the reason why I picked up the Solana versus the red sea. Its just funny from one state to the next how much a price difference is.

JBJ 28gal (with metal halides,skimmer, and back filtration) with stand = $499.
better deal then both of them, in my opinion.

def will need a chiller for a HQI in a closed hood.

I've gotta say that it's a classy looking tank. It reminds me of the Mac vs PC thing; you're paying more to have something "different".

So I guess if you like Mac, you'll like this tank. I personally like Mac (though I'm a linux guy), so it looks good to me.

I know that this is an old thread, but my LFS started selling this set-up minus the lighting for 390. I was thinking of adding the sunpod to it since the pendant lighting hasn't gotten the best reviews. What does everyone think of this deal? I looove the look of this tank, plus it is on the larger side of nanos!
