I agree. I would try to keep it below 20ppm as the ideal, less for anything with corals. 40 will not kill fish, but I would definitely be considering ways to lower it before it does get more significant.

Well got my algae bloom! Darn i am sorry i even started this thread
Aweek later, got this ugly brown algae on my sand and my beautiful rocks
. I think I will get off this part of the boards and order my cleaning crew. Took everyones advice and didn't add more fish, but my coral banded shrimp and arrow crab are doing great even if my nitrates are still about 30, even after a water change thursday. I will do another one before the crew gets here though, just to be sure all is well.
