New design for sump

I've decided to build a bigger sump/refugium using a 30 gal tank this time. One reason for using a sump is to get the pumps, filters, heaters and what not out of sight. Since I have an iron stand that is open at the bottom, you can still see all those things. So I decided to build the sump differently this time. Instead of splitting the sump widthways, I decided to divise it lengthways instead. This way when you look at the sump, all you see is the refugium area. The pumps, heaters and all will be in a chamber in the back. If you look at my schematic(this is the view from above), you will notice the grren section is the refugium which is the front of the sump. The water will drain into this section first. Behind the green section, there will be one baffle the length of the tank. At the left end of this baffle, I will route a 1/4" slot at a determined height to let the water flow into the red section. The red section will contain the protein skimmer and heater. Next you will see a yellow section. This is a sponge that will trap bubbles from gettong into the last chamber which is the blue section. The baffle between the yellow and blue sections will have holes driled into it to allow the water to flow through. Lastly the blue section will contain my return pump. So, what do you guys think of this design? I like it better since in the front all you will see is the refugium.

Actually "refreshing" to see someone thinking "outside the box" on design...

Only problem I see is that with the 30 your only 12" deep front to back and may end up a little "skinny" on the footprint for the fuge area...
Would work well on a larger footprint tank though...

Yea, I thought about that but I only need 3 1/2" in the back for the pumps and skimmer. I figured an 8x36 area would be an ok space for the refugium.Plus I would have the water enter the refugium at the right and flow to the left, giving a better water movement.
