New diamond goby!

Yay, but I have one question. I added him this afternoon, he immediately went to the back of the tank, and proceeded to make a burrow. He has yet to come out to feed, is this normal?

mine didn't come out for the first day but than he started to come out more and more each day now hes out allmost all the time. Give hime a day or so to get ajusted if he doesn't come out than somethings wrong.

Well, I know here he is, (i found his burrow), and I can tell hes alive, also, my tank is in my room, soits not hard to tellif hes mort. Thanks

yes i have had mine for a year now he is out all the time. all he does is go around cleaning the sand. i have about a 3 inch sand bed and he has a borrow under a rock in mine. he is about 5 inches now and is a great fish to have.

I just gto one yesterday and he made a burrow when he got in the tank and he was out a little bit today, i also got a watchman goby, and he hides even more thant he other one...hmm..

mine did too i got a baby that will come out everywhere also

do you guys put the diamond gobies directly into your display tank without QTing? i have been asking around and noone answers weather or not they dont have scales like mandarin gobies / blennies , that hence couldnt get ich , and not have to be QTd?

I wouldnt qt, they need a sand bed. qting would probly kill the fish as ironic as it may seem

My Diamond Goby made 2 burrows. Should I "destory" the other one, or will he just make it again haha. I don't want it having 2 burrows, my sand looks all weird now

Sometimes its bad ordering on line, because you can't really see the fish. the diamond I got was HUGE! I didn't expect that at all haha. it's the biggest fish I have thus far haha. I hope he stops making burrows and jsut cleans my sand, which was the main reason I bought it haha.

If you cover the other hole up it will just make him mad he will keep rearangeing untill he is happy there isn't much you can do it sucks.

Well I patched up the other hole last night, I'll see what happend when I go home today to see if he did make it again. haha Dang Goby, messing up my sand.

Mine jumped again and died

i got a glass top, and I will get another goby soon. I miss mine.
