Yes parasites. I lost all but 5 of my original herd to evil aiptasia. And I lost my black seahorse, Valiant, to parasites as well.

then i should probably move more to my main tank cause that one don't have aiptasia, and is at a lower temp for parasites. that way int he future when i have colonies to sell i won't get any problems.
thanks for the info

i can't think of one

she is doing good though, she is like a clwonfish, cept she is hosting a tubeworm colony. she never leaves it! you can see her tail around one and her head in a little hole or something grabbing food. then she looks up, like she is sayin "i can't reach it!!!!

can seahorses be shy? seems like every time someone besides me comes up, she hides her face

Every fish knows their food/caretaker person!!! At first Aurora was very timid and would swim away from the dish when I put my hand in, now I have to nudge Aurora out of the way so I can take out her food dish and clean it before dinner. Each fish has their own personality. The is the extra special thing about seahorses, when you look into their eyes and they look right back at you. Some shy, some are show offs...Aurora does not like her picture taken for instance. Valiant loved camera time. He'd prance all over the tank when I got out the camera. Aurora heads for the cover of the weeds when I get out the camera. She's getting better, but still does not like to have her picture taken.
Now that she has found a favorite spot in the tank, you'll know where to look for her. Maybe since she seems to like the coral garden you should name her after a flower. Or something befitting a little fairy. OOOOooooooooo I know...Belle! which means beauty.

She looks like a belle, haha. I'll think about names of flowers, and belle.
Also, the pipefish is doing great. i had a broken filter but wanted to keep pods growing on the filter piece so i set the filter things in the tank. pods are growing all over it thinking it's safe...but under one of them lives a beast, a pipefish., he is loving my pods, i'll find him sometimes just pecking the heck out of the walls of the tank eating pods. we decided to name him Jala, pronounced Ha-l-ee. His full name is Jalapeno on a Stick. He is named after one of the puppets Jeff Dunham uses. Since the pipefish is sort of a stick loking thing. We thought of that cause the yellow whatchmen in the seahorse tank is named walter after one of the puppets. walter always looks grumpy, and so did the puppet.
