new established tank

I have a 55 gal tank that I started over 2 years ago, and all I have in it is a brittle starfish.and 30 lbs of LR. I would like to add more fish, and / or inhabitants, but really sure what. I would like a Clown fish.
Any suggestions???

2 Years with just a Brittle...??
Or did you have other stuff in there before...??
What are the levels (ammonia, nitrite,nitrate) like now...??
Have you used any medications (copper, etc...) in the tank in the past...??
If not now may be the time to look into a Reef...
Up grade the lighting and start with some softies...??? :thinking:

I started with the brittle, and a shrimp, and thats all I ever had, now I want to get more. Dont know what the nitrates, or nitrigen is but I will have it tested before I add anything.
I thought about some filter feeders, and maybe a clown fish?

You definately have a lot of reading to do if you don't know what your nitrites and nitrates are!
Go to your local library and odds are you can get a few good books for free.
I'm not trying to be snide at all, just trying to help ya out! Marine livestock is way too expensive to purchase without first researching the hobby extensively!
