I adding a cleaner wrasse and a sailfin tang on Wednesday. Wed and Thurs the 2 were out swimming with my clown but all day yesterday and today they will not come out. The wrasse just sits in a piece of rock lying on his side looking out. I know they lye on their side, but I am worried about it. Anyone got any advice?? Thanks!

Mine never lied on his side or hung out in the rocks unless he was cocooned and sleeping. It's not unusual for them to be off in their time frame though and it's still adjusting to your tank. You realize these have a horrible survival rate in captivity, being obligate parasite eaters right?

I tested my water and specific gravity 0.123, ph 8.2, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0. Why are cleaner wrasse so hard to keep? These 2 new fish also have not came out to eat for 2 days!! Help!!

turn your lights off for a day
dont try too hard to feed them or you'll have an ammonia spike
and yes cleaner wrasses are nearly impossible to keep because of what they eat which is parasites so you probably wont get him to eat (he wont eat fish food)
but good luck with the tang
not to start a war but how big is your tank?
