Hello all !
I just added a scooter blennie to my tank and now my yellow tail damsel(who i hate but I cant catch him) keeps flapping his tail at him. What does this mean? Is he trying to kill the new fish? Any suggestions? The damsel won't leave him alone !

Get the damsel out of your tank by any means possible. He is just going to cause trouble, and cause you money loss when he picks on everything that goes into the tank.

Taking down the tank is probably what it's going to come down to. You could always try a trap, but these aren't always very successful.

just.... feed him, and wen he darts out to get food, nab him. Either that, or ya just gotta take apart the rocks, or block all his escape routes. Its not easy. Actually, the only way I ever got mine out was wen there was an inch of water in the tank, lol.

I have a yellow tail that tried the same tricks, I tried everything to catch it but it is quite aware of the net and evidently knows that it's a bad thing....I finally decided that what I should do is get a bigger fish to keep him in line, and that's what i did, a coral beauty angelfish, who has definitely shown the damsel who is boss...what's nice is that the beauty is pretty non-agressive so doesn't bother my clown - however, if you can, get it out - I am still attempting to grab mine once in a while, I want to add more fish but am not going to until she is GONE!

I got them out, but had to take all 100lbs of live rock out - what a pain in the butt - but all my fish are much happier now and swimming in parts of the tank they dare not venture to before. Thanks for all the help

What a pain that must have been! But I can see how that is probably the only way to get one of those devils out - they have a 6th sense about that net! It's so funny when I tried to catch mine, my clown swam INTO the net!!! But of course the damsel was darting around all over the place...LOL Glad you got yours taken care of - I ordered 5 Blue Chromis from SWF and it will be interesting to see how the damsel acts when they arrive - I figure with 5 of them she won't be able to give them too much trouble...I hope!!!
