I just got this from my lfs the other day. I have no clue what it is though. It has a body similar to a seahorse and a snout like a pipefish. Any Ideas? It hasnt eaten yet.

It looks like either a flying fish, or fish in the goby/blennie species. I relly have seen nothing like it. either way, it is one dang cool fish!

Very cool!
I would think with a snout like that, he eats pods. Do you have a good pod popuulation in your tank? If not, you can buy them online or at some lfs's. Good luck with him. I hope he does well for you!

Thanks a lot!

I dont know I hope I have a good pod population but with 3 other seahorses and a banded pipefish I'm sure its on the low side.
I thought with a mouth like that he would pods too but I was told that about my pipefish and hes eating mysis
so who knows.
I dont really see him picking around a lot for pods though. he Just stays in one place or swims around like crazy.
