I posted not too long ago that my Pink Spotted Goby possibly ate my Coral Banded Shrimp.
Well...while I was at home for lunch I witnessed him killing and eating my Cleaner Shrimp.
He will be returned to the LFS this weekend.
Has anyone's goby ever done this before?
What would be a good bottom dwelling fish that I could get in his place.
It would need to be reef safe.
My current fish are as follows...
2-Ocellaris
1-Lawnmower Blenny
1-Coral Beauty
1-Royal Gramma
1-Pink Spotted Goby(soon to be gone)

New tank is great.
Now if I can figure out a good bottom dwelling fish to buy, I can get back to concentrating on corals.

hawk fish are great! i have a falco and i like how he follows me around the tank. they lack swimming bladders so they just hop rock to rock. mines usually on the sand bed.

Yeah..I once had a hawkfish.
He suffered the same fate as the goby is about to face...returned for store credit!
The hawkfish ate my two peppermint shrimp, so no more hawkfish for me.
Any other idea's?

dusky jawfish have the greatest personalities, when they see you they will push out their gills to look larger as if they are trying to say leave me alone!

I'm done with gobies, but thanks anyways. Your goby is pretty though.
Maybe a jawfish or two would be the way to go.
They look pretty interesting.
By the way, it seems that I double posted this thread and have a completely different conversation going on. Sorry.

Have you considered an Engineer Goby? They look alot like an eel and just re-arrange sand all day....not sure how much room they need when they get big though :notsure:
