Finally got some more fish after the loss of the Tusk. Have my stocklist semi-finalized too, but one of these guys changed it a bit. Realize these aren't particularly "aggressive" fish, but whateva
The tang is a Doctorfish (Acanthurus chirurgus) and the angel is a Multi-Barred Angel (Paracentropyge multifasciata). I wanted this tang because when I go diving, there are lots of this guys in the Florida reefs and they're absolutely stunning as adults. The blue is magnificent. This guy is a tiny bit over 3". He's going to color up really nice.
The Multi-Barred is an awesome find. I had my brother looking down there for some fish on the list, and he came across him. He told me what he had found and we researched him a bit. Supposedly they aren't the easiest angels to keep, but ones that eat are relatively hardy (sounds like 95% of fish in this hobby
). Anyway, I also noticed most of them were big (for Para's) at 3"-4", so full sized adult (never a good idea for angels IMHO). This guy is maybe 1.5". So he went back and ask them to feed them, and he did great, eating out of the water column. So he got him. Doing great in my parents holding tank (a 20L) and can't wait to get them into my 55gal QT.
