i have a 72 gallon bow front with a wet/dry sump filter, protien skimmer, lots of live rock and live sand. its stocked with a medium sized bursa trigger, medium sized niger trigger and a large domino damsel...all pretty aggressive. i also have a ton of crabs and a few snails...and a serpent starfish. everything is running smooze and the fish fight occasionally but are doing great. id like to add another fish or starfish or somehing but not sure what would work in this tank...any suggestions? maybe a wrasse?..maybe another serpent starfish or chocolate starfish?

I say a key lime wrasse or some sort of eel. My favorite is the snowflake as they are less likely to eat other fish.

What is medium? Do you know how big those triggers can get? I think in your next selection you might want to consider first what you are going to do with what you have. Those two are going to pack a big bioload...they will outgrow that tank, and keeping the water parameters in check will be a losing battle. Thus adding more fish is probably not the best idea, unless you already have a plan when they get too big. In your next selection try to steer clear of fish that have a potential growth of 10 to 20 inches for that size tank. Also...I suspect your invert population is in grave danger...if you buy more I wouldn't spend too much.

thats kind of what i figured..but nobody wants to hear that they cant get anymore fish. however i will take the advice and not add anymore fish. i may consider another serpant starfish. because the one i have now is doing a great job cleaning up and the triggers ignore him completely. if the triggers end up eating all my crabs (2 years and nothing yet) at least ill have the starfish to help clean up. when the triggers outgrow the tank i will be getting a larger tank for them or my lfs will take them off my hands in trade for some smaller fish...or maybe by that time ill be wanting to do a reef tank...who knows. thanks for the advice
