Does anyone know where to purchase a large tank at a fairly reasonable price? Any favorite web-sites? I'd appreciate it.

Well, I did some research on this and it seems that nobody will ship glass tanks because of weight and breakage reasons. Probably call some fish shops around your area and price things. Then post on here the prices they are giving you, and i'm sure people would reply if that is a "fair" price or not.
