New Fluval 205 - good filter?

Just wondering if anyone has the fluval 205 and what their thoughts on it are.
I have a 60 gallon and am looking at getting 2 so I can have double the flow in the aquarium.

hi salty,
I have a 105 on my 10 gal. and a 404 on my 55 gal. and I would trade them for anything. I think they do a very good job. :joy:

I think you meant to say - you wouldn't trade them for anything?
BTW, what media do you use in the 3 open compartments?
I am thinking the BioMAX, Purigen, and Phos Guard...

If you were to buy a back pac skimmer there would be no need for the second fluval. Thats the combination I run on my tank and it works great. The back pac is a skimmer / bio filter in 1 unit and you will probably find that you can pull the rack out of the fluval and replace it with a single carbon media surrounded by cotten and you will have great levels, at least I do.

i run a 404 on my 180 just to run carbon and to feed my chiller i have always liked them i used to run 2 on my 100
