Thats a very vague question ., First off, I would get the largest tank that your wallet and space can hold. If you get a smaller tank now, you will always wish you had chosen the larger one down the road. As for type of fish, it all depends on what type of tank you want . you have to decide if you want a peaceful community, semi-aggressive or a predatory tank. once you answer these questions then people can recommend fish.

+1 on the tank size, once you start in this hobby your tank will never seem to be large enough. It's like a disease. Research long and hard on the type of fish you like because compatibility with different species is a huge issue. Size and colors are an issue also. The best info I can offer is be aware of the order in which you add your chosen fish into your tank, very important! When it comes to filtration... oversize it with regard to the tank size, really oversize it.

I vote for a 300g and a 150 sump
Then you could do whatever you wanted. Other than that, what kind of fish do YOU like? I LOVE triggers, so of course I would just have a gaggle of them.(more than i do now)

nice size tank how about some pics?
a nice big angel always looks great.
i had a 150 with a canopy matching the tank and it looked great.
my new 225 doesnt have a canopy and it just doesnt look as good.
my friend built the stand and i need to have him build a canopy .it just makes it look so much more impressive with one.

So if you want a large angel a 180 is the bare minimum for one for life which is still argued alot.

Unless you went the route of a Majestic Angel which dont go any larger than 11" but I would still say a 180 minimum.

I suggest you start with a juvi angel and let it grow. An Emperor (Imperator) would be my 1st choice. Juvi angels acclimate much better than large ones and the experience of raising one from juvi to adult is incredible. The big problem purchasing large angels is (IMO) they have already have a diet of marine life (like sponge) that is hard to duplicate. Healthy juvis will eat almost anything and thrive.
