I just got my new majestic foxface in day before yest he was delivered to one of lfs on fri I braught her home the same day she arrived, she was a special order for me and I didnt want anything to go wrong.i set up her qt while she was slowly drip acclimating in a bucket (this was the longest I have ever acclimated any fish 4 hrs) from water from my reef.I had to fill my reef with new water as i took it for the qt.
removed some LR from my agressive tank not realy any substrate just a tad of sand left on the tank from when i started to set it up for my new eel. went to 3 dif LFS yest and purchased some macro algae from each store9they all had dif types i wanted a wide variety for her to graze on while adjusting to captivity(she is wild caught and just shipped from california).she is in a 50 gallong plenty of space to move and plenty of hiding spaces if she feels the need.she was injured during harvest or transfer she has a wound on her upper lip so I am now and have had her with daily dosing of melafix and pimafix(just in case of internal bacterial problems), small amounts of prepared algae based foods(also dosing the tank with garlic extreme selcone and i offer a couple times a day till she begins to eat them(she has been grazing well today)of all the algaes I had purchased for her she seams to favor the red hair algae I talked my lfs into giving me some of .he thought i was weird lol she loves the stuff lol
tg the fish didnt agree with him heres a couple of pics of her .so far far shes doing great with no signs of stress what so ever (so far knock on wood) yes i know the glass is dirty but i dont want to go about cleaning the glass and make her nervous shes aprox 5-6 inches
