Very nice selection of frags...always nice to know where to look for frags in the future.
I need to keep a list of types and owners for future reference...some day I may be ready for some of them here in New Mexico...

Hey Kip,
With the other Tri-color Acros that I have they all took a while to color up. For some reason this one just held it's color better probably because the person that I got it from must of had very similar water conditions so it didn't stress too much. During the day I usually only see the very small polyps out if at all but as bdhough says at night I usually get the long sweeper tenticals that come out a half hour after the lights go out and they stay out all night. Mine tend to like it up high with a pretty good amount of flow.

As Mark has said, it's normal for many colors to loose coloration after being introduced into a different tank. All of my A. secale, A. nana, etc. have lost their purple tips after being in my tank for 2 weeks. From my experience, the coloration will come back after the coral grows out.
the polyps only come out under VHO... when the halides come on.. it closes up.
Do the polyps completely close up, or do they just slightly retract into the coralites?
