Are you talking about how deep the bottom of the cup is down in the water.

Well, I guess I know I can raise and lower the rate at which the skimmer brings the water up. Will it do it naturally or do I need to bring the foam up to the level of the cup? I am just started cycling now.

I have a 75 gallon and I am using the coral life light lighting, which has 4 moon lights, 10000k and actinitc. I put the brackets that came with it and the canopy will not fit on the aquarium. I have a smaller set of brackets that I bought. Should I use them?

On my skimmer there is an o'ring on the collection cup so I raise the o'ring and lower the bottom of the cup so it is in the foam about a 1/4". Thats what works for me.
