New Girl

Here is the new girl. She has been in for about 48 hours, now and seems to have settled well. Loves the planted area because the bugs love the planted area.
I think she is likely a kuda.
The second photo is for size reference compared to the molly. Granted the molly is on the large size because of the tank size.
I did miss having a seahorse in there. Something about a fish that will often sit still and seems curious about what's around them!
I only wish I had wiped that end of the tank before the pictures

she is beautiful! i cant wait to get my ponies.
Hi lulabulla, I am also in Oregon. Medford...
I have not really considered ponies because of the special feeding needs.
Does anyone know, will they take frozen BBS? I accidentally bought the baby brine, rather than regular, when I bought this seahorse.
I always feed mysis, but the LFS said she had been fed brine shrimp the 3 weeks she was there. Thought I'd have some on hand, and ended up with the tiniest frozen food I have ever seen!
I have a feeling the pods are in heaven due to my making a purchase without my glasses on!

New picture just because it's silly! I think they watch me as much as the other way around!

I agree with you 110%. All my new ones do that same thing...one can only imagine what they're thinking.
"Awwwwwwwe....so cute, that's right come over here....giggle..."
"I know...I love it when they try to make fishy sounds!!"
"Okay you two, stop stressing the humans out!"

I have not ever had one quite this small! I have bought adults in the past. She is a cutie, though, thank you!
How's you little filly doing? I love the pic with her and the clown. Couldn't resist adding this

THAT will definitely catch a body off-gaurd at 5:30 in the morning! I almost spit out my coffee!
I have to have that as a BMP...
She is doing very well. Hunts 26/7 and the other hour she's begging at the glass. She has claimed the planted end of the tank. The mysis and brine get caught and the others can't get to it.
I added a cup that is suctioned to the glass (MonaLisa's idea!) and she spends some time there, but seems to like the substrate best.
I am having an awful time naming her.

I thought you might enjoy that
Their pose is so perfect!
I'm so happy to hear she's doing great!!! Sounds like she's a girl who takes leadership and stands her ground. A name.......hmmm.....
maybe like, "Guinevere" Sir Lancelot's lover.
or "Arwen" from Lord of the Rings...oooooooooooooooooo!!
"Galadriel", the Lady of Lorien in Lord of the rings!!! I think that would be a perfect name for her!!

Hi, Michele!!

It's been a long time!
I love your new ponie!!!I miss having mine, but with three kids and a new baby, 3 SW tanks, 1 FW tank, 4 cats, 2 dogs, 2 birds, and 2 hamsters, I really don't want to set up another tank right now.

I'm soooo happy to see you, Kelly! I wondered if you were still about...
Let's see, 4 children, 4 cats, 4 aquariums, and 6 additional assorted...my goodness! Is it about to rain, Noah? And if not, well, I certainly think there must be something in the water at your house!
I did miss a seahorse. My e-mail is still the same, if you have any free moment! I'll try to do the same..1 teenager with sports, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 2 birds, 1 rabbit, 1 SW, 1 FW, 1 pond...

Those are all great! I tend toward the fanciful as well!
I'll keep them tagged. She is so small right now..she still does scare me; I know you are familiar with the "seahorse search" everytime you pass the tank.
